Intended to help get a backup system on a LAN or SAN up and running
quickly, our JumpStart Installation service is a hybrid of on-site
installation and training services. This service is popular with
our customers who have a large number of clients and/or limited
budget and who have a capable technical staff to continue the rollout
once oriented.
It is vital to roll out an implementation correctly the first time
because it is so costly in terms of time and resources to troubleshoot
an incorrectly installed system. Our JumpStart Installation service
is designed to help you get your implementation off on the right
foot and prevent repeated troubleshooting efforts in the future.
On-site training is included because education is the key to successful
long-term ownership of backup systems and the infrastructures on
which they run.
During a JumpStart Installation we work with your staff to configure
the new backup server and install a selection of clients and database
modules of each platform. The goal is to get one or two of each
type of client and database installed and successfully backing up
so that you have a working system to build upon. Your staff will
work alongside our consultants in order to learn how to complete
the installation themselves.
We finish the installation by delivering our standard documentation
package and providing on-site training for your selected staff on
daily operational tasks. This will prepare them to maintain the
system going forward. If you are looking for more comprehensive
installation services, we also offer full
backup integration services as a separate option.
