Research Computing
Our Commitment to Science and Higher Ed
A big piece of the Cambridge story involves long standing business relationships with major universities and research labs. In the early days we built our brand and honed our expertise in tech communities such as SNIA, Educause, and Usenix. Through these organizations we made connections in academia, government labs, independent labs, and industrial R&D. Over the years, many of the people we met along the way became customers, advisors, employees, and friends.

NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD™
High Performace Computing
Cambridge builds and optimizes HPC clusters of any size. We collaborate with our clients and vendors to specify components, verify specs and compatibility, and deploy and meet performance requirements.
AI – ML – GPU
Cambridge has deep expertise in specifying hardware for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. We can help with budgeting, site planning (cooling, power, racks), GPU resource optimization, scheduling, etc.
HPC Storage
Cambridge was founded as a boutique consultancy for data storage technologies. We can compare and contrast all of the leading products as well as several you probably have not heard of before.
Network and Fabric
We provide fabric design, specification, and deployment. We can help you choose between IB, Ethernet, or one of the new intermediate solutions.
Big Memory / CXL
We offer big memory and RAM pooling solutions using the latest CXL products.
Data Management
Cambridge has been a leader in data storage management for over 30 years. We can help you with content classification, chargeback, archiving, ROT cleanup, workflows, data sharing, and data protection.
Cambridge Researcher Pushes Boundaries of Fluid Dynamics Using HiPerGator Supercomputer
Check out this press release from the University of Florida about the innovative research happening on their HiPerGator supercomputer. It describes the testing of new theories on how two fluids move through porous materials. This work has the potential to transform our understanding and modeling of systems in biology, engineering, and the environment.
This research was led by Chris Fowler, a member of the scientific computing team at Cambridge Computer. Cambridge has assembled a team of AI/ML scientists who help clients align scientific needs with IT infrastructure and software tools. Chris focuses on computational modeling to support high-performance computing research and education.
